About Maisie
Maisie is a really awesome little cat. She was rescued from a cat hoarding situation, and it seems like she hasn't had a lot of human contact, but despite that she is very sweet and affectionate and likes human contact, with lots of purring, rubbing up against your legs and asking for pats once she gets to know you.
When she first came to her foster home she was very scared. For the first couple of weeks she lived in my small bathroom area, and was too nervous to venture out into bigger rooms. Since then she has been getting braver in leaps and bounds. She is a completely different cat from when I first collected her - she loves exploring the house now, sitting on the window sill looking outside, she has become much more comfortable everywhere and has recently started sitting on my lap, wanting to sit behind me on the office chair while I'm working etc. A couple of friends have been coming round often to visit and play with her which she loves and she has started curiously coming out to meet people who are new visitors to the house.
She has a lot of energy, she loves playing with toys, especially ones that simulate hunting like Da Bird, so she'd do really well in a home where her new owner/s could give her a lot of attention and play. She's a little goofy / clumsy, and a lot of fun. She would probably not do well in an environment with children or dogs (or maybe even other cats). When patting her or if she gets a bit frustrated she will play bite and swipe, but she's never bitten or scratched her foster carer in a serious way, and she's pretty easy to read to know when to pull your hands out of the way.
I think she will be a great and very loving pet for someone who can give her the love and attention she needs! Please come meet her in her foster home in Kalamunda.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
