About Tilly
UPDATE: Tilly is still available for adoption. Her health is improving and her medication has recently changed. If you previously fell in love with Tilly but perhaps you were deterred by her ongoing medical costs, please contact the Adoption Centre staff and we’ll give you an exciting update…
I was surrendered to Lort Smith as my previous carers no longer had enough time for me.
I have a sweet, gentle and loving personality and like nothing more than being by my companion’s side.
My favourite activities include leisurely strolls, playing fetch, cuddles with my people and sunbaking.
My perfect new home would be on the quieter side, with a comfy warm bed to sleep inside. A family that either work from home or are retired would be ideal as I can get a bit lonely.
Other dogs don't interest me and I tend to keep to myself. My preference is to be the only dog of the household please.
I will not be able to go to a home with any small animals either, as the thrill of the chase is a little bit too tempting for me.
I have had some bad luck with my health. It was found that I had copper accumulation in my liver and diagnosed with liver disease (Canine Chronic Hepatitis). I am currently on medication to help manage this, and since being in foster care I am feeling SO much better. I will be adopted out with a medical disclaimer and the friendly staff will happily answer any questions you may have.
I will be a foster to adopt for the first fortnight as I settle into my new home.
I truly am the loveliest girl. If you think you could be my new best friend, please contact the Lort Smith Adoption Hub.
