On Hold
19 year old Pebbles has had a fairly ordinary life, at least over recent years, it seems. She had not been well cared for, so she ended up at RSPCA.
Her health has improved dramatically and she is much more relaxed with humans than she was previously. She has had minimal handling, so is not suitable for children or riding.
As she is prone to foundering, Pebbles will need a very experienced owner, with an appropriate place to keep her so that she can't dine on very lush, fresh grass, which will cause her problems. She has severe pedal bone rotation, so will need vigilant and consistent hoof trimming by a farrier experienced with Laminitis.
She has had a dental whilst in our care, and had some teeth removed. To keep her clean and comfortable, she needs to have her mouth rinsed twice a week to remove any food that remains.
All Pebbles wants now is a good home where she can be loved, and given the care she needs.
