About Dexter and Gizmo
Dexter & Gizmo (brothers)
Shih tzu both aged 11 years
Lived together all their lives 💕
Don’t be fooled by their age, these two boys might be 11 but they act like 5 year olds.
A note from their carer: I have found them to be so caring and wonderful to be with. They have great temperaments and are willing to learn new things.
They are still learning a few social aspects like toilet training, this is a learnt behaviour from before and not a medical issue. They both have improved so much but it does take time. Gizmo and Dexter both have learnt to sit before their meals and are great on the lead. They both got on well with my own dog and the boys are happy to play with each other, though Gizmo is the more dominant of the two.
Their furever home needs to be a quieter house, no young children. Both dogs love pats and cuddles (especially Gizmo), however they do need a home with good structure and kind (but firm) discipline.
They have lived with cats but any cats would need to be gentle cats.
Dexter and Gizmo need to be on a quality diet.
Adoption fee $595 for the bonded pair
Thank you Alle for the lovely photos.

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need Website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. My emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
