About Sprout & Magnolia ~ 6 week old kittens
PLEASE NOTE: Sprout and Magnolia are available to a home in the Newcastle/Hunter/Central Coast area only as they will have to be desexed at one of our local vets when they are 3-4 months old.
If the photos aren't enough, prepare yourself to meet the cutest and wildest little kittens in the world. Sprout and Magnolia (Maggie) were born in our care after we took their stunning mum in from the pound, heavily pregnant. Mumma Flora is such a well-adjusted cat that it is no surprise that her babies have turned out the same way.
Imagine sitting on the floor, opening their enclosure, and a herd of confident little kittens racing out and covering your lap like a fluffy blanket of cuteness with sharp claws! In that situation, you will find Maggie (cream and white) will very quickly and happily curl up in your lap for some love and chin scratches. This little lady is an old soul with a spunky personality. She was the first in her litter to learn to purr and hasn't stopped since. She loves to run, play and climb like all kittens do but she definitely enjoys human company the most out of her littermates. Maggie is a rare girl due to her colouring! It isn't super common for gingers or cream cats to be female, but mumma Flo gave us two ginger girls!
Sprout (grey) on the other hand is a cheeky devil, obviously because he was the runt and the last born. Youngest children get a bad rap for a reason, right? 🤣 This guy has so much personality and loves to run and play! He loves toys that jingle and is always in amongst the trouble. If he's feeling a little tired, he will sit on the sidelines and watch but he is never far from the action. This little guy is great with being handled as he was supplement fed with a bottle for a couple of weeks from birth. After about 2-3 weeks he began putting weight on as he gained strength and was able to fight his siblings to the milk bar! He is still the smallest of his siblings but that doesn't stop him.
Sprout and Magnolia are available to a home as a pair only as it is recommended by cat behaviouralists that kittens have a playmate and forever friend for an enriched life. All of our past adopters can attest to the fact that two kittens/cats is better than one!
Sprout and Magnolia are both very confident and friendly kittens just like their mum. They have been exposed to dogs and other cats, and aren't phased by much so would be suited to pretty much any home as long as children are over 8 years old and any dogs in the house are calm and cat friendly. They are litter trained and have healthy appetites.
Sprout and Magnolia are available for adoption to an indoor-only home in the Newcastle/Hunter/Central Coast Area only and their adoption fee is $450 for both. They will be ready for adoption from 17th November 2020.
Sprout and Magnolia are in foster care in Mayfield West, NSW and will be vaccinated and microchipped in the coming weeks but will need desexing at a local Newcastle vet when they are big enough, which will be covered by Dog Rescue Newcastle.
