🖤 Sweet Girl Sassy 🖤
"Hello, my name is Sassy. And you'll have to excuse my attitude at times but if you take a moment to hear my story you will understand why I am the way that I am. You see, quite a while ago I gave birth to three kittens. At the time I was living in a house with way too many other cats, and as a young mum who was born on the streets myself it was very stressful. Soon after I gave birth one of my kittens passed away, and then my other kitten Theo fell sick and was sent off to The Mad Catters without me. Once they realised that me and my kitten Nala were still at the house, they made arrangements for us to be taken straight to their vet to be checked over and rescued. Because we had been living in such an overcrowded house, we all had a lot of health issues that we needed to work through. Being so shy, I did try to hide inside a bed soon after which left me stuck between some springs and I nearly broke my leg! An x-ray, hospital stay and cast later, I was back in to a new foster home and having to learn how to trust people all over again. My foster mum said that she would find me a home without kids so that I could truly learn to relax, and boy was she right!
Thankfully I've been able to settle in to my 5th home this year, where I've started to show my playful side! I guess this is because I really needed a quiet place to settle down. Humans haven't always been kind to me, so I am terrified of people trying to touch me with their hands and am also scared of feet. But! I do love to play with toys, especially those dangly ones that the people throw about. I have also started to take treats from my foster mums hands and am happy with that so far. My favourite thing to do is run around the house playing, because I never really got to be a happy kitten myself! Life is getting better each day and I would really love to find a quiet home that I can spend the rest of my days in.
So if you don’t mind that you will have to take things slow with me and help me settle in to life with new people again, I would love to stay with you. I think a nice bedroom with some cosy sleeping spots would be lovely so I could come out of my area once I'm more comfortable."
Sassy is a timid cat that would suit a home with no young children, loud dogs or dominant cats. She is very cat social, but can be submissive which makes her vulnerable to cats with a dominant nature.

Sassy has previously suffered with flu and has since recovered. She may or may not need treatment for flu throughout stressful periods of her life, which has generally been eye drops and anti-viral medications.

Our cats and kittens thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue animal ✨
