On Hold
Peter, a tall distinguished red fawn lad is looking for his forever home.
After retirement in March 2018, Peter was spelled at his owners property and by the end of 2019, the decision was made to find his new home, but Covid restrictions kept him at the property.
It was early September and a request was made to Gippsland Greyhounds whether it was possible to take Peter and two other kennel mates in and by mid September, Peter was here. Unfortunately as a result from happily wagging his tail and bumping it against the walls, a small tumour was noticed at the end resulting in part tail amputation and a slow healing process.
However during his time in foster care, Peter has being found to be a very loving and affectionate gentle boy, clean in the house, easy to feed, good with little dogs and loves his car rides.
It is with sadness that we put Peter up for adoption as he has bonded with his foster carer, virtually being his shadow and if we had the room to accommodate him, he certainly would stay.
Peter is not cat tolerant
