About Elmer
"Shhh. Be vewy vewy quiet..."
Hi folks, I'm Elmer. I'm not sure why I'm named this, as I don't think I'd be very good at "hunting wabbits".
I do appreciate the quiet, though.
I'm an extremely loving fellow, but I am a bit of an introvert. I wouldn't cope very well in a loud, boisterous household and would be best suited to a chilled out atmosphere. A family with young children would not be my idea of a good time.
Perhaps you're an older person with a couch I can share?
Maybe a childless couple who can appreciate a sensitive gentleman like myself?
A single person who's lap I can warm while you're reading a book or watching the telly? Or maybe you have teenagers, who will understand my need and want for the calm and quieter things in life.
If you think you have the home I'm looking for, with routine, predictability and Zen, then you should probably give my friends here at BARC a call and arrange to come and meet me!

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
