About 3667 - Atticus
š¤āļøMEET ATTICUSāļøš¤
Hi, my name is Atticus! I was taken in by the lovely Angels when I was found pretty bashed up from living on the mean streets. My ears were a bit tattered and I lost all my dignity when I had to have my butt shaved so the nice vet could fix up some nasty bites I received from some not so nice street cats.
When I first moved in with my foster mum, I was a bit unsure of house rules and humans so I used to give her a good swipe if she tried to get too close to me. Thankfully Iāve come to realise that Iām safe now so I donāt do that anymore, well mostly anyways! With a little time to get used to a new home, Iām sure I will settle down quite quickly.
My foster mum reckons Iāve turned into a real softy. Iāll look super duper handsome again once the fur on my butt finishes growing back!
Once I know you I will be your life companion and will hate to be out of your sight. If Iām sleeping on your bed and I hear you move, I will come running to check out where youāre going and make sure Iām not missing out on anything. I like to wrap myself around your legs if you stand still and if you move Iāll be right by your side, especially if I think youāre getting food so watch out you donāt step on me or trip over me.
I love a good scratch under the chin and will climb into your lap and put my arms around your neck and snuggle my head in under your chin so I can get some extra cuddles. I will also stretch my neck right back so you can give me a good scratch. I will happily sit on your lap or lay on you if youāre laying on the couch, and Iāll let you pick me up if it means fusses! I will let you know if Iāve had enough though and may give a gentle swipe but Iām slowly getting that habit under control.
There arenāt any children in my current house so Iām not sure how I will go with those. There are other cats though but Iām not fussed by them and generally just watch them do their own thing. We have one of those dog creatures in our house and she isnāt much bigger than me. Iām quite jealous of her, especially if I see her getting attention which should be mine! My foster mum thinks I would be better suited to a home with no dogs.
I just love my food! I almost inhale my wet food when Iām given it mornings and evenings and I get biscuits to snack on all throughout the day. If you go near the kitchen, I will assume you are getting me food, even if youāre not, then will race you to my bowl, so watch out that I donāt bowl you over.
I donāt play with a lot of toys right now, but you could always try me out with a few. I mainly like being with the humans and sleeping, preferably on your bed.
I am a nice clean boy and will always use my litter tray, even though I do sometimes flick the stuff all over the floor.
Because I have FIV Iām an indoor only cat and generally I donāt mind that - letās face it, it can be hard on a guy being outside... My shaved butt is proof of that!
