About Remington
REMINGTON
Alaskan Malamute
Male (D)
14 Months Old
Located : Mt Kuring-Gai, NSW
I like to consider myself as an international man of mystery. A cheeky con-artist with the charisma that makes the ladies swoon and the men green with envy.
Reality is I'm more like a clumsy newborn colt who trips over his own legs with a tongue that perpetually hangs out of my mouth. Derp, doofus if you will.
My dreams consist of growing up in to Bond, James Bond. For now I am more Steele, Remington Steele. You may also feel free to call me Chewy, perhaps as a timely reminder that shoes and socks should either be on your feet or out of my rather high reach. The rebellion can sometimes be strong.
When it comes to all other aspects of life I'm like a child on their first day at kindy. I want to learn, and look towards my cougar gal-pal Belle for guidance in dog etiquette and self-moderation that can only come with age... then promptly ignore these lessons by instigating another rousing game of bitey face and indoor zoomies. My new family must come with at least one other friendly, playful and older canine companion who will guide with further education.
The outside world is my domain - be it backyard, surrounding streets or the local dog park. With the latter I tend to gravitate more towards the smaller dogs who enjoy games of chase. With that said I'm not one for discrimination towards any that wish to bask in my gestures of friendship. Although yet to experience the not so friendly - for I'm really like the pied piper of dogs - chances are I would likely tuck tail and run for confrontation is not part of my ethos.
For all my joie de vivre I am gentle enough for toddlers yet adults best prepare themselves. In a deep sleep but it's really time for up and at 'em? Your personal alarm clock's legs may end up in inappropriate and somewhat painful places. A new two-legged female of my acquaintance who is silly enough to stand still in the dog park? I've been known to mistake you for a tree. Why yes, therapy is in progress, thanks for asking.
My primary motivator is attention and inclusion in all that life has to offer. My daily exercise requirements are quite high and should consist of either two brisk and long walks per day, or a long session of exhaustion at the dog park on a daily basis. Both, even better. Another playful canine companion to share a large backyard with an absolute must.
All up I really am an uncomplicated boy, super affectionate and full of bliss when there's a good cuddle on offer. Very much a "starter" malamute, you will still need to have some practical large dog experience.
