About 561 – Boots
🎩🥾 THESE BOOTS ARE MADE FOR WALKING... INTO A FOREVER HOME 🥾🎩
Hi, I’m Boots! I’m a gorgeous young boy who had a rough start to life. You see, I was born on the streets and had to fend for myself. Luckily, Perth Rescue Angels stepped in and I was able to start my new life.
Nature
Since I didn’t have the best start with humans, my foster mum had to work to build my trust and confidence. I used to hide away and hiss, but with time, patience, and a lot of love, I have grown to absolutely adore cuddles (on my only terms, of course). I have quite the routine: every morning I hop on my foster mum’s bed asking for cuddles. I love giving head bumps and receiving long strokes along my back, and of course a scratch under my chin! I’ll purr away and close my eyes to take all those scratches in!
Then once my foster mum gets up to get me breakfast, I’ll rub myself all over the dining table and chairs awaiting my meal – I’m also very affectionate pre-breakfast and give lots of pre-breakfast head bumps! The rest of the day I like to relax in my special hiding spot (the laundry basket 😹) and play with foster siblings. I am still quite timid and don’t like to be approached – I still find that quite scary and will give a little hiss, but I promise I don’t mean it!
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I absolutely love other cats! I think it must be because I grew up around them and feel safe with them. I really think a friendly, cat social kitty would really help me adjust to my furr-ever home. I have been a fantastic brother to the other foster kitties that have come in and out of the house, and am generally very tolerant of other cats, tending to be quite submissive; sometimes my brothers steal my food and I don’t make any fuss at all! If I know another cat is in the house I’ll call out to them, wanting to be best friends. I really am happiest when I’m with my furry friends as I love to play and be close with them.
I am untested with dogs and children, but as I am timid I would probably be better suited to a home without either.
Likes / Dislikes
I find traditional cat toys a bit scary, and prefer to either play with my foster siblings or weird, unusual things! I love laying on the sunny sections of the rug or looking out the front door, keeping an eye on things. I adore cuddles on my terms and like to be spoken to in a baby voice – it makes my eyes all heavy and makes me very sleepy! I am not overly fussy with my food and I have perfect toilet manners.
So, what do you think? Are you my furr-ever person?
My PURR-fect home would be with quiet, patient, and child-free household with at least one friendly cat for company and to help me come out of my shell. I hope my furr-ever family or person would know that while I might not ever be a lap cat, I have too much love to give.
