About Mickie
MICKIE AND PETAL HAVE STARTED A TRIAL TOGETHER IN A NEW HOME 29/10/20. PLEASE SEE HERE FOR FURTHER UPDATES.
Mickie is the sweet brother of Petal.
They both came to the foster carer as two frightened little strays, who had never lived in a house or interacted with people. After a month or so of hiding under the lounge/bed and only coming out for food when no one was around they are now loving the home life.
Mickie has lovely ginger spots and stripes, and the sweetest pink nose. He is the first to come out and get a pat with his tail straight up and will rub his nose on your hand to get you to pat him. He will roll over on his back to offer his round belly for scratches too, so cute. He is also getting used to me picking him up if I’m sitting on the floor and can put him on my lap for some pats. He is very loving and likes long strokes along his body.
At night he comes to life with his sister and they race around the room chasing each other, jumping on the scratching post, playing with balls and causing mayhem.
He loves food and eats wet and dry cat food and loves cooked chicken. Mickie will sit quietly in the kitchen waiting for breakfast and dinner and I have taught him to make the sweetest meow before I put his bowl down. He will also eat treats out of my hand and my husband’s hand.
Mickie is very good with his litter tray and has been from the beginning, covering everything up very well.
Mickie and Petal are young and energetic, they play together and would be happy to stay together. They would also suit a home separately with another friendly playful cat for company.
