About Honey
Honey is a sweet friendly girl. She is suitable with kids 10+yo. She is very playful and enjoys toys and balls.
Our trainer says "She can get a bit excited and jump up. She can be a bit rough and mouthy with toys when excited. She does not like her tail being touched. She enjoys kid's company."
She enjoys treats and walks with volunteers. She came from the pound with a damaged tail tip which has now healed. She does have a very long tail and she is expressive wagging it.
Walkers say “Needs someone strong and wanted to run”, “Honey walked well, barked at some dogs but ignored others. Liked shady spots for a cuddle”, “Very strong, playful. Full of energy”, “Gets excited easily. “Honey was reactive to other dogs but when distracted she is ok. Loves to run and be close to people. Loves to play in water”.
She has a smooth coat and weighs 33kg.
Suit Part Time Worker: Copes alone for short periods, with training possibly longer but presently does need someone home part of the time
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Good with Kids: Shown to be good with kids in the controlled environment of the Shelter.
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE: Many people grow up with, or own a dog who has had no bad experiences in life. A dog who is confident and well rounded. However, many rescue dogs have not been as lucky in their lives.
These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience and an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
Medical notes
She comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet. Her adoption cost is $450.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
