About Theodore King Dumpling
Hi, I'm Theodore King Dumpling.
I'm a 2 year old short haired male cat and I'm pretty big. I'm best suited to a family that isn't away at work all day, even after Covid, as I love being beside you at all times.
I love playing with my door stop while you cook in the kitchen. I enjoy having a shower with my hooman. I also like to sleep in cupboards. I'm very food motivated.
I'm ok with older children over 8 years old. I can deal with younger kids but I prefer them older. At my foster home I have been exposed to a rabbit who seriously thinks he is a dog and is all up in everyone's face, he is a little scary but I tolerate him so I can sleep in the afternoon sun. I'm not sure if I like dogs.
I'm a big cuddly boy and I'd like to sleep on your bed at night. I will always be in the same room you are 😎

PLEASE NOTE: Due to our cats being previously stray and rescued from struggling to survive on the street, we have a strict NO CATS OUTDOORS policy. This is because although our cats have been rehabilitated from their past, their brain still retains fear towards 'outside', as living wild was only ever scary to them, they are not the same as domestic cats who've grown up in human homes since kittenhood. This is important to keep in mind if you were hoping to adopt from us and have your adopted cat living inside and outside, or even just with supervised time outside, as unfortunately it won't be possible. Please consider this before making an enquiry. Thankyou <3

Sunny Days is a registered charity with Tax Deductible Gift Recipient status, and runs a non profit rehabilitation centre for stray and feral cats in Geelong, Vic, focusing on the rescue, rehab and rehoming of ‘true stray’ cats. These are cats who’ve grown up with very little or no experience with humans; cats and kittens who would otherwise be ignored, hit by cars, baited, euthanised or die alone of illness or hunger. In our rehab centre, we see each cat as an individual, requiring it's own individualised rehoming program.
Why strays? The domestic and stray cat breeding problem is a gap in the companion animal welfare system that is under-resourced, under-educated, and not being addressed at a pace that can keep up with the numbers of cats being born. What little current methods of managing the issue there are, are a bandaid to an ever growing and ever concerning community issue that has a negative impact on responsible cat ownership, native wildlife, over-full shelters, shelter and vet performed euthanasia, and perpetuates the giving away of animals online. We feel if cat owners are provided adequate resources, education and advice, and stray cat populations are actively worked on, that the cat breeding problem can be dramatically reduced. We believe animal welfare and government organisations have a responsibility to create and deliver tools to make this happen.
The overall objective of our organisation is to:
- successfully physically and psychologically rehabilitate terrified cats and find them homes which understand their needs and are compassionate to their history,
- remove complete stray cat colonies from the community and ensure they will never breed again or be back on the street again,
- provide an example of the potential to rehab unsocialised cats to other organisations who may not have understood or attempted to achieve that potential before,
- educate the community on how many stray cats are hiding in the dark corners of community trying to survive and that desexing is the only way to begin to lessen these numbers and the resulting suffering,
- provide an opportunity for volunteers to learn animal husbandry and handling skills to a high level which may help them in their future work in animal welfare and as pet owners,
- and provide an opportunity for compassionate people to come together and pool their skills for the betterment of a demographic of animal that is mostly ignored and misunderstood despite us humans being their source and the reason they even exist.
