About Tubbs
https://www.bestfriendsrescue.com/adopt-tubbs
Let’s get it out there! Here are my pros and cons
Pros
Loyal and loving and beautiful
Obedient - sit, stay, wait, paw
Intelligent - communicates his needs
Calm and very patient
No separation anxiety
House trained
Does not bark much
Loves car rides (*his best !)
Loves swimming and playing ball in the water
Walks well on lead
Not reactive to other dogs, bicycles, traffic or skateboards
Loves ball games and human interaction in ball games
Doesn’t wander off - good recall
Not food obsessed
Does not chew furniture (only his balls and toys)
Medium energy level (not hyper or demanding)
No health issues
Cons
Doesn’t like the dark (ie must sleep indoors)
Fearful of strangers - fine if ignored and not interacted with - until he gets to know them. (*This, we believe, will be overcome with more time and positive interaction)
scared of geese 😂
General
Tubbs needs to be included in a home (not left outside).
Initially resists his bath but then surrenders and enjoys.
He could do well with a calm dog friend.
*Could even suit a tradie who he could travel around with and wait for at work or in his truck.
Must never be teased, threatened or physically hit.
Doesn’t mind vacuum cleaner, garden tools, etc but sensitive to unfamiliar loud noises.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
