About Molly
Meet Molly, or as she is affectionately known "Pretty girl", is 6 years old and this gorgeous girl deserves everything that life can offer.
Molly is looking for a special family who will open their heart to her and continue to teach her what it feels like to be loved and part of a family.
Molly definitely has some special requirements so please read in FULL before applying.
Molly came into care a nervous, timid little girl from a pound – we were originally advised due to her condition and demeanor that she was an elderly border collie x dog that needed to be saved before being scheduled to be put to sleep. Molly was impounded regularly due to ‘escaping’ – we are unsure of what style of fences the previous owners had but do recommend 6 foot fences for Molly.
(Please note Molly has only fled once since being in care and that was the first day where she was very nervous and unsure). Molly's foster mum is still currently supervising Molly while outside and for the first few weeks she is on a lead while outside with her foster mum to get used to her new home and surroundings.
While Molly’s foster carer waited anxiously to meet her – we were surprised to see this little lady come off transport for us – a good bath, some flea and worming treatments and some antibiotics to help clear up her flea bitten skin, along with good food and love and TLC has made this pretty girl blossom.
Molly is learning that she doesn’t need to bolt if a noise occurs, or someone drops something. Molly is learning that food is always available and warm baths are a part of her new life so that she has a fully tummy and soft clean fur.
Molly also looooves jumping in the car and going for a drive – she is the best companion in the car and never complains if you sing off key.
Molly’s foster mum does work shiftwork but there is more often than not someone from the family home with Molly. Molly loves sleeping in her dog bed at night and this is a definite must for her furever home.
Molly will be your shadow and jump up on the couch for cuddles and love.
Molly also has a foster fur brother of medium size that she loves to hang out with.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is looking for a family for Molly – at least one person who is home more often than not (works from home or is not needing to work - retired / won the lotto :-) ) . We believe that Molly will need at least a couple so that she has more than one person to follow and learn from. We would also be looking for families that had children over 8 – simply to help her adjust and settle without small kids who make her nervous.
Molly spends most of her time inside although can quite often be found lying outside sunbaking on chilly mornings, she is fully toilet trained and learning how to use a dog door.
Molly is untested around cats
Molly is looking for a home where she can settle – where she will be given lots of love but also time to settle in.

Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
