About Layla
Layla is a young medium-large girl.
She will be suited to a home as an only dog or possibly a home with another very playful, energetic, patient, desexed male dog.
She likes other dogs but can get a bit annoying to others that don't want to play as much as she does.
She can become anxious when her people aren't around so she will need a home where someone is home majority of the time and where she'll receive ongoing training to help her cope better when her people do need to go out.
She is nervous around new people so needs some time and patience to let her get used to people she doesn't know.
She is very affectionate when she gets to know you. She is still young and can be a bit cheeky, sometimes mouths to get you to play.
She loves to run so a large yard/property would be ideal, she reminds her carers of a greyhound how she runs when she plays. She can get a bit vocal when she plays, but isn't rough. She's a bit cautious of bigger dogs, but once she makes friends she's happy to play with anyone. She likes chasing toys, but isn't into fetch. She loves to be with people and will follow you or whine when she can't get to you. She loves to sleep on the bed if she's allowed (will sneak up later if she's not). She knows how to sit and stay, and will wait for food or to be let out most of the time. She still has the occasional accident inside if we're not quick enough to let her out (she previously had a doggie door).
She needs a large yard, regular exercise, lots of activities, mental stimulation and socialisation with other dogs.
She likes to chew when she gets bored. She is a quick learner and very eager to please.
Not tested with cats or small animals so a home without them will be best.

Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
