About Candy
They say there is nothing sweeter than CANDY and they were thinking of this girl when they made that claim.
This adorable 5 year old staffy has a butter wouldn't melt look, big puppy dog eyes and a giant heart. She is currently at BARC looking for a new beginning where she can give and get as much love as possible.
Candy is certainly an extremely sociable girl who has to introduce herself to everyone she meets, so expect your morning walk around the lake to take a bit longer. Being a staffy and sociable means that this girl can be talkative and does communicate her feelings well with the odd vocalisations.
Being so social means that Candy sometimes went on outings on her own with her previous owners so it would be very important for her new home to have secure fencing and be home majority of the time to keep her company.
Being a petite sized staffy Candy would be suitable for a home with children or older people, she can be strong on a lead but this can be changed with patience and guidance.
If you have another resident dog Candy is also open to the idea of another gentle well-mannered four legged friend to join her in life. Although this girl is very selective about the type of dog companion she is looking for.He would however have to be exceptionally good looking, financially secure and have a 5 year life plan before this lady would consider living together, he would also have to let her wear the pants in the relationship.
Seriously though, if you believe this super loving girl may be just what your heart desires please call the people at BARC on 5441-2209 to arrange a meet and greet.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
