About Estelle and Billy - Located in Preston
Estelle and Billy are a bonded mum and son pair. This means that they will not be adopted separately and will only go to a home together. Please do not apply if you are only interested in one of these guys. Billy and Estelle came into care together. They arrived incredibly scared of humans and needing to learn what it is to be loved in a warm and caring home. They are both incredibly sweet cats and don’t have an aggressive bone in their bodies. They will let you pat them in their hidden beds and even enjoy it. Although won’t let you pat them out in the open just yet, it is still a bit scary for them.
Billy has started to become a lot more confident in the last couple of weeks. He has decided that he wants to play with his younger foster siblings and has remembered what it is like to be a kitten. You will see him run around after them, play wrestle with them and even just sit and watch them play amongst themselves. This has been a great confidence builder for Billy, he sits watching and learning about human interactions. Estelle is MUCH more cautious than Billy. She will accept pats and treats when she is in her hidey hole but will not come out as much as Billy. She has now started to explore around the house during the day though! She will need a lot of work, patience and trust building before she is completely comfortable with humans, although we have no doubt that she will get there.
They are both wonderful cats that will only be adopted out to the most suitable home for their circumstances. They are used to living in a colony setting and now in foster care with other foster cats, so would suit a household with another cat. Especially if that cat is confident and friendly, that will help boost their confidence. Although they will be fine on their own as they have each other, but note that they will take longer to adjust without other furry friends.
Estelle's microchip is 953010004572366 - 11 months old
Billy's microchip is 953010004542138 - 6 months old

IMPORTANT NOTE - COVID19 PRACTICES
Due to the current lock down in Melbourne we once again need to do things a little differently!
Once you have applied for a cat in our care our foster carer will contact you by telephone. If at the end of this discussion you would like to proceed, we will then arrange an online meet n greet with the carer and cat.
If you think this cat might be your PURRFECT match we will be utilising our premises at Neko HQ in Preston for the final meet n greet and if agreed adoption as our carers are unable to have guest in their homes. We ask that only one person from the family attend, and that all COVID safe practices are followed to ensure your health and that of our volunteers as well as the general community.
We thank you for your patience throughout this process.
