About Milo
Hi everyone my name is Milo!
My journey at BARC began after arriving here as a stray - This means that I'm a mystery man, with no background information on my past life.
I'm a pretty cruisey character but I do get a bit overwhelmed by smaller humans that want to touch me or pick me up a lot. Don't get me wrong, I love attention and pats but I'd fare better in a home that knows how to respect my space from time to time. Kids 7 yrs+ who are gentle and quiet are cool with me.
I like it here at BARC, the staff do spoil me... but there's a real lack of couches and human beds, so I only want this to be a temporary stop over, really. What I'd love more than anything is to become the guy in charge of a household like yours!
I love to wander and explore and I would really benefit from and indoor/outdoor home where I have access to some property that I can get my step count up exploring.
If you think that I could be the purrfect addition to your home and family call BARC on (03) 54412209 to book your essential meet and greet appointment.
Please note that we will not be accepting appointments from stage 4 lock down areas and may not be in a position to respond to all email inquiries.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
