About Jetta
Howloooo I am Jetta a 9 year old Staffordshire Bull terrier who is here at BARC looking for a new forever home.
If you have what it takes to keep up with a stubborn and strong willed staffy then please keep reading.
I am a very solid boy although I have lovely manners and walk on a lead without pulling. I have the basics of training down pat but saying that, if you are silly enough to throw your ball away do not expect me to go and get it for you...
I am not suited to a home with children of any age or cats and am OK with other dogs we would walk by I need to be in an only dog home. There is only room in your heart for 1 dog, trust me....
Being a senior boy I am starting to slow down a little in life, but am no way ready for retirement. I'm fighting fit and have passed my vet assessments here at the shelter, although I do have the odd niggle that may need some attention. I will do anything for a food treat and love my food, not a lot can come between me and my food (one of the reasons I am not suited to live with kids)
I'd be suited to a home with a single person, an older settled couple or individual who is looking for a 4 legged companion to keep them company.
If you think I may be just the dog for you then please contact the people at BARC on 5441-2209 to arrange a time to meet and greet with me.
Please note that due to the current Covid-19 Government restrictions BARC are unable to facilitate meet and greet appointments with those from Stage 4 restricted areas.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
