About Champ
Let me introduce myself, my name is Champ (AKA Chompy Champ), I am a handsome ginger ninja, I like to act tough but really I hate to admit it under this brave exterior I am a softie. My foster Mum saw through me pretty quickly and realized I am a push over if there is hot barbie chicken to be had. She said I had to learn that humans are pretty good, and swearing at them does not work (though sometimes it still feels good to let out that warning growl). I love having my food when I want it, and sometimes I have to be a bit vocal and give a slight tap when my human is too slow putting those yummy tummy fillers out.
I have to patrol and keep a watch on my human to make sure I am not forgotten, so regular pats and the old wrap around the leg smooches is a must. I also have to check out any visitors to make sure that they pass muster and suitable to enter my sanctuary, entry allowed by giving a head bump and rub, if not done right I will hold onto your arm until you learn the right procedure. I do love to play so plenty of toys and a climbing tower is on my list of adoption must haves and I may accept another playmate if they like to be pounced on and join the fun of the chase, I like to hunt insects in revenge for the bites they gave me when my home was the drain.
I need to be kept safe in the house with a comfy bed, and although I must minimise my exposure to the sun I would love a cat enclosure to keep me safe so I can have some fun outside too. I also love my foster mum talking to me and telling me how special I am (which I already know) and that I am going to have my own special family one day that will spoil and love me forever. I think I may be too scary for those little small people, as I do like to play a bit rough sometimes, but I do try to keep the claws in, so an older family would suit me better. I hope to meet my family soon, I promise to love you always (as long as you have a supply of yummy barbecue chicken).
I'm a sweet boy who has been living in the bush for my entire life, now I am ready to be a house cat! Can you help me out?
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
