About Cheddar
Cheddar is approximately 4.5 months old. He is said to be a kelpie x Toy Poodle mix - and his energy levels match up to said mix.
Cheddar has been in care for a few months now, but has recently returned from a trial adoption as his energy level was not compatible with his potential owners.
While in care Cheddar has learnt to:
- sit
- wait (at doors and for dinner)
- down (drop)
He is also very familiar with crate training and will happily sleep through the night in his crate.
Cheddar has high toy drive and loves a game of tug.
As mentioned above, Cheddar has a lot of energy to burn. Being a puppy he will find ways to occupy himself if left to his own devices, that might not be conducive to having nice things.
Cheddar will not be placed in a home with young children as he has a tendency to nip (at faces, or whatever he can get) when excited.
Cheddar would do very well in an active family that will also take the time to continue his training and boost his confidence.
Cheds is still working on being house trained.
Cheddar currently lives with other dogs and cats and has been around ferrets. But it would be recommended if he is rehomed with another dog that the applicants dog is a stable and tolerant dog to help show Cheddar the way.
Cheddar does have tendency to bark.
If you think you fit the criteria for taking on this young, full of life floofy midget. Please submit your application here - http://www.4lyfe.org.au/adoption-application
Cheddar will be rehomed based on best fit for him.
Medical notes
Cheddar will be desexed prior to rehoming.
