About Mack
Hello there, I am Mack.
I was surrendered to BARC with my brother Wally as we were not getting along with another cat in the house hold.
Whilst Wally and I tolerate each other, we are not very good with other cats so would need to be adopted together, or individually to homes with no other cats. My previous home reports that I get on very well with laid back dogs.
I've been through a fair bit in my time here at BARC. I was diagnosed with bilateral entropion which means my lower eye lids rolled inwards irritating my eyeballs. I have had to have surgery on both of my eyes to correct this. I am now feeling much better after having the surgery and I'm ready to start looking for my new home.
I am a very lazy cat.. with somewhat of a weight issue...
I do take a while to adjust to new situations but once I am out of my shell I have the most wonderful personality.
I am looking for a nice quiet, laid back house that will suit my lazy personality well. I will need to be an indoors only cat. Preferably no children under 12 years of age, as I am easily overwhelmed.
If you think that I could be the purrrrfect match for you, give BARC a call on (03) 5441 2209 to book your essential meet and greet appointment.
Please note that we are not accepting bookings from stage 4 lock down areas.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
