About Bear
Bear is a handsome 1 year and 9 month old Staffy x French Bulldog.
Bear was surrendered to the rescue after showing some bad behaviors - one of those was giving a growl when he has something he is not supposed to have (toy or shoe etc) - we have been working on that and Bear has learnt 'leave it' when having something he is not supposed too - this has been working really well and he is very keen to learn and please.
Bear is very protective of his family and when a visitor arrives he is very vocal about them arriving - we have been working on this behavior as well and he is learning that people can come to the house and not be 'yelled at'
Once Bear knows your his friend and it's really easy to fall in love with this little guy - he will happily shower you with love and cuddles and some serious tail wagging.
Bear is great with other dogs - currently with 3 other big breeds - he has no issues running under their long legs to get ahead in running.
Due to Bear still learning about growling we will advise he can not go to a home with children under 8 years of age.
Bear has not been tested with cats
Bear currently spends his days hanging out with his fur siblings in the yard and back veranda playing, snoozing and enjoying water play while his foster mum works.
At night Bear is welcome in to the house and is a good little sleeper - he is toilet trained.
Bear is looking for a family who will continue to work with him, with positive and consistent ongoing training.

Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
