About Tara DL2531
Tara is loving and affectionate, she adores cuddles. She's not a very big dog but she has a big heart!
She is very clever and already knows cues like: sit, stay, lie down, inside/outside, on your bed, drop, up/down, off you go, out the way. She sits and gives paw for her dinner and then waits for the cue to eat.
While she is lovely with her humans, Tara doesn’t like other animals, especially other dogs. She needs a sensible person who’ll keep her safe by not putting her into those situations and keeping her secure in her home. When there are no other animals around, she walks well on a lead. But even better - she walks and runs beautifully on a treadmill at home!
She can bark at new people initially, but warms up quickly, especially if they have treats. She’s been friendly meeting kids in her previous life, but as she can jump about when excited, she’s better suited to a grown up household.
Tara loves to play fetch in the yard with you and she loves chewing on super tough toys. She’s gentle taking treats and has no trouble with being groomed… she actually enjoys bath time! She doesn’t dig and isn’t destructive with anything other than toys. She’s not a fussy eater, anything goes.
If you love dogs with character, you’ll appreciate her cheeky side; she likes to take sips out of mugs that’ve been left unattended on the coffee table! She’ll tap you on the shoulder with a paw to get your attention, or drop a ball under the couch for you to recover and play with her. And she loves sleeping under a blanket!
If you'd love to welcome Tara into your nice warm home, email DFL today to apply.
