About Chuckie
My name is Chuckie, I'm an Australian Cattle Dog and I am looking for that special someone to love me in my twilight years.
I have come into rescue as my owner died and his wife unfortunately didn't have time to give me what I needed due to work commitments so she felt it best that I find somebody who could give me the retirement home I deserved.
I am a gentle old soul, just shy of my 10th birthday, who just loves to be around you and be by your side no matter what you do.
As I have lived outside most of my life, my foster carer has been house training me, but you may need to be a little patient on the odd occasion that I may not quite make it.
I am not too sure about car rides, but Im sure in time, I'll get used to them and learn to love them if it means spending more time with you.
I am currently living in Burpengary Qld with 2 other Australian cattle dogs who I get on well with, but if you have a doggo , it's always wise to meet first just to be sure we like each other and will be the best of mates , an older dog would be ideal.
I am still learning some manners, like waiting for my food and not pulling on a leash, but I love my walks and get a bit excited so I think I need a bit more practice. 🙂
I would love to sleep indoors with you on my doggie bed as I do have a little bit of arthritis and like to be warm and cosy.
I have also lived with a cat, so apparently I am kitty friendly whatever that means, but I guess I would need to meet the resident kitty to make sure we like each other, but I am pretty sure I would be a good boy as I have such a placid nature.
I love my hoomans and really like it when they are there, but am happy to be with another dog for company if you have to work. I love kids, especially when they pat me, but may prefer older kids as a gentle hand for this old boy is nice.
If you think we are a good match, I would love to meet you and your other fur kids soon.
Yours hopefully Chuckie x
