About Winsome Waggletoof
We are currently allowed to operate under Stage 4 restrictions with a COVID plan, permits for our volunteers and all necessary safety precautions. This does mean that we are even slower than usual at responding. Please be patient and stay safe.
TO APPLY FOR ADOPTION OF WINSOME PLEASE SEND IN APPLICATION FORM AVAILABLE BELOW:
https://www.victoriandogrescue.org.au/about-vicdrg/adoption-and-foster-application-forms.html
Victorian Dog Rescue has a six-week full refund policy and a lifetime takeback guarantee that includes 50 per cent of the adoption fee refunded.
Winsome Waggletoof is just as cute as her name suggests. This little lady enjoys her quiet solo time but is still very affectionate when she wants to be, and loves her cuddles and pats. Winsome is not big on personal space and will climb onto your chest and rub her face against yours. She'll purr and dribble with pleasure when getting her pats.
Winsome is playful in bursts, after which she will happily curl back up in her special spot for the next round of napping. She’s the perfect balance of affectionate and independent. Winsome is house trained.
Winsome would love to be your only pet and so would be best suited to a home without any other animals. As her beautiful coat is long, Winsome will need regular brushing. She doesn’t like loud or sudden noises, but if your home is safe, quiet, warm with food and lots of love on offer, Winsome will thrive.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
