About Lucy
Meet Lucy.
Lucy is a lovely Staffy mix that has ended up in out shelter due to no fault of her own.
She was treated very poorly and suffered a far bit of abuse, she was brought in along with her mother who has had to be placed in foster care due to health reasons.
It had taken Lucy 3 days to come around to any of the shelter staff as she was so scared of the treatment she may endure.
After 3 days Lucy became to trust and love all the woman at the shelter (She was still unsure of men at this stage) After about 10 days Lucy became confident and started greeting any male that pop their head in to meet her. She is no longer hiding from men....Brave girl.
Once Lucy warms up to you, he tail wags like crazy and all she wants to do is put her head in your lap, like she is thanking you for being ever so kind to her.
Lucy seems to get along with other dogs but due to her past we are looking for a forever home where she will be the only pet till she is settled in than a new addition could be added to her pack later down the track.
We are also recommending that Lucy be rehomed to a family with older kids.
This beautiful girl has definitely stole the hearts of many staff at the Council, and will only go to the best of homes that we believe will be the right situation for Lucy and her needs. If you believe that this is your forever home please get in contact with the Shelter :)
Adoption details
The adoption process at the Goulburn Mulwaree Animal Shelter is relatively easy. We ask that if you are interested in a animal, please attend our Shelter in Goulburn to meet the animal and the Ranger team so that we can make sure that the animal is the right match for you. We do not take expressions of interest over the phone or via email.
Once you have decided on which future pet you would like to adopt from the Shelter, all that is required by you is to make a payment at the Animal Shelter by either eftpos or credit card, provide details for the microchip and registration paperwork and then pick up your future pet from the Council veterinary service provider once they have been de-sexed and vaccinated (Council staff will advise you when the animal is booked in at the veterinary clinic. This usually falls within 14 days of the purchase).
