About Raccoon 8648 Campbelltown ACF
Hello, my nickname is Raccoon. I came into the facility as a stray and sadly no one came to collect me. I was found on the street, with my head stuck in a dog food can (I was so desperate for food, that even dog food was appetising to me!), I was very frightened and thought I would be stuck forever! Luckily I was taken to a veterinary clinic, where the lovely people helped me by removing the can from my head. When I was transferred to the animal care facility I receive lots of attention from my carers, a nice warm bed and regular meals! I thought to myself, "I could get use to this type of life!". I am now ready to leave my life on the streets behind and find a forever home were I can be pampered and showered with love. I am a quiet boy, who often likes to spend my time cuddled up in my comfy bed in the sleeping quarter of my enclosure. I enjoy getting pats from my carers and will sometimes even push my head into your hand to show you how much I am enjoying the attention you are giving me. I have been diagnosed to be FIV positive. FIV stands for feline immunodeficiency virus, this means my immue system is weakened, and I can be more susceptible to illness. Due to this I will need to be an indoor cat only, and ideally rehomed as an only cat or with a cat who is also diagnosed with FIV. Do you think you are able to give me the second chance I deserve? Come check me out. My adoption fee has been reduced as I will require some dental work in the future.
Medical notes
Raccoon is FIV positive and will require dental work in the future.

Adoption payment can only be made in person at the Animal Care Facility. We do not do adoptions or payments over the phone and require all potential adopters to complete a successful meet and greet with the animal prior to adopting. For dog adoptions, if a dog is to be housed with another dog after adoption a meet and greet between the two dogs must be conducted to ensure they are a suitable match.
When you have selected a pet, you will be asked to complete an expression of interest form. Following a successful meet and greet with the animal, we can finalise the adoption paperwork and payment. Dogs and cats are booked into Council's contracted vet for the animal to be desexed typically the next business day. We will transport your new pet to our vet for desexing in the morning. The new owner is to collect the animal from the vets in the afternoon.
Please note that this adoption profile may not be the most up-to-date information available, due to the constant movement of animals into and out of the facility.
