About Lacey
Please note, all adoption enquiries are required to complete a full adoption application and sending enquiries will redirect you to the application www.ppar.com.au/adoption-application/
Please complete the application rather than send enquiries.
Lacey is a sweet-natured and affectionate dog who absolutely loves people. She loves pats and will sometimes place her paw on you if you stop, to let you know she would like more. Lacey is a calm dog who enjoys play time and walks but will happily settle down with her family once the day is done.
She loves walks, and walks very well with a Halti. We are also currently working on loose-lead walking training with her and have seen a big improvement in only a couple of weeks. Lacey also likes to swim at the beach.
Lacey currently lives with another dog around her size, and they get along like a house on fire. She would be happy to share her forever home with another medium to large size dog. She would also be happy as an only dog if her humans had plenty of time to spend with her.
Lacey is both toilet-trained and crate-trained. She currently sleeps inside in the living room in her crate at night. Lacey can be a little bit stubborn at first, but once she gets to know you she is very responsive to commands. She knows sit, shake and stay, and will also sit and wait for her dinner until you tell her to eat. She is very gentle when taking food from you. She has learnt not to come inside the house unless invited in, even if the door is wide open. We are working on her recall and she is getting a lot better at coming when she is called. Lacey very rarely barks.
Lacey loves car rides and gets very excited when you head towards the car. She will sit calmly in the back seat for the whole trip or also enjoys riding on the back of our ute in a large dog cage. Lacey would make the perfect companion for trips to the beach and for camping holidays.
Lacey is around 30kg but does not quite understand how big she is. If you sit down near her she will come over and sit down in your lap so she can receive cuddles and pats. She does not jump up on you, but when she is very excited will sometimes bump into you. She is great with children of all ages. She will need 5-6 foot fencing in her new home.
Lacey is a beautiful, happy girl who would love a family who will include her in their everyday activities.
