About Silver
4.5 year old Silver is ready to find his forever home!
Our beautiful boy Silver loves people, is extremely affectionate and great company. He enjoys being busy and will follow the action around him for much of the day. One of Silver’s favourite activities is watching people from the front yard and pleading for pats from passers-by. He’s very friendly and hugely entertaining.
Silver needs a couple of walks each day and a home with a garden to zoom around in and burn off extra energy. Silver knows his name, on your bed, drop, leave it, sleepy dog, and sit. He enjoys his squeaky toys and will fetch and bring them back. Although he is quite good on-leash, he needs to be walked by a confident adult, because of his enthusiasm. Silver loves the car and will happily jump in and out.
While traffic and noise don’t bother him, Silver is wary about meeting other dogs. He prefers to do his own thing, happy in his own world with his humans. He would enjoy living as an only dog and getting all the attention. Silver’s new family should be prepared to take socialisation with other dogs slowly.
Silver is toilet trained and sleeps through the night. He knows not to counter surf and is calm and patient with his food. He will occasionally pick up things lying around if he feels he is not getting enough attention. A good communicator, Silver will bring his food bowl to you if he’s really hungry.
At home Silver loves his Portsea bed (which will come with him) and has never shown any interest in getting on the couch or beds.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Silver has epilepsy, and needs a home where someone is experienced with dogs, comfortable with giving medication, and prepared to administer it to a strict time schedule. Apart from his epilepsy, the vet confirms Silver is a very healthy dog.
Extremely affectionate and loving, Silver will repay his new humans (who are able to manage his medication schedule) tenfold with love and loyalty.
