About Monroe ~ 9Mo DSH Kitten (Hold 19/08/20)
Hey my name is Monroe, my foster parents call me Monny for short and I am 9 month old purr machine looking for a new home.
I am super friendly, not overly energetic and actually fairly independent. I do like a cuddle and will have a chat to you when I am after something….especially food. My manners are not always great and I get a bit frustrated that the food isn’t coming quick enough so I try and hurry things up by jumping up on the kitchen bench.
There are 3 other cats here and I am happy to be around them but still getting to know them. I feel I am friendly enough with them and learning to have a play.
Two dogs also live here - they don’t do much for me so I just keep my distance and they aren’t real interested in me.
I have a best friend, it is my foster family’s budgie. I am not sure he feels the same way about me but I like nothing more than hanging near him a fair bit of the time. I have been found sleeping on top of the cage. I honestly think the budgie doesn’t mind! I am enjoying the large scratching post and the cat toys too. I am to tell you to that I use the kitty litter without an issue.
I don’t think I would mind if you have to go to work but huge days without anyone in the house might be a bit much. If you have a friendly cat, I am sure we would be okay together as long as you just give me a bit of time to settle in. I am not sure how I would be with young kids so kids over 8 yrs old should be okay.
My adoption fee is $200 which includes my desexing, vaccinations and microchip. I am currently all up to date on all flea and worm treatments and keep myself very clean. I am hanging with my budgie friend in Merewether Heights NSW (Suburb of Newcastle NSW).

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
