About Charley
Charley is a 2 year old Irish wolfhound x and therefore a large dog. Initially it was suspected that Charley had hip dysplasia but she has since had a review with our vet, with current x rays taken, and has been given a clean bill of health. We would like to ask potential adopters to please research the breed before applying for Charley and large breed experience is preferred for her. Charley requires a home with older children 14+ and without other pets. She is an active dog who requires daily exercise. Charley, although big, is still a young dog who has had very limited exposure to the world around her and all that goes on in the world therefore her new adopters will need to be prepared to support her in her new experiences. Charley has had limited training and we would really encourage ongoing training to build her confidence.
Adoption details
If you are interested in one of our animals please phone or send an email to rescue@btcanimalshelter.com.au and we will reply as soon as possible.
A questionnaire will need to be completed which will allow us to ensure we are placing our animals into the right home. Once the completed questionnaire is received, we will respond by email / phone call to discuss the animal in further detail, and answer any other questions you may have. Please note that completing the questionnaire does not place you under any obligation to adopt. We can arrange a meet and greet for you (and existing pets) to spend some time with the pet and see if they are likely to fit into your life.
If you decide to adopt, payment is made and you can welcome your new pet into your life!
We offer a 2 week trial period.
