About Sid Arthur
Sid was one of 20 cats on a property. He’s a lovely chilled boy, but on arrival at the shelter was thought to have an enlarged liver and when attempts were made to take bloods it proved to be impossible and Sid was deemed unrehomeable due to his age and potential liver problem.
He was placed on death row, but released to us and went straight to a fosterer for a few days to be assessed and then off to the vet for bloods, where he did throw such a huge tanty that he had to go back the next day and be a little bit knocked out!
His tests showed him to be a very healthy boy, though one little marker on his liver is a little bit high. But in order to investigate further it would take a biopsy which we don’t wish to do as he is a healthy, happy boy and has put on 1kg since coming to us.
He does have arthritis and has started a four week course of injections for that, plus he’s now on a supplement.
Sid is a chilled, affectionate easy boy, not perturbed by the gentle cavalier spaniel and not bothered by being in a new home and aside from kicking his litter all over the place he’s quite the perfect gentleman!
Sid is lovely and deserves a wonderful home.
Medical notes
Sid has been diagnosed with arthritis and will need to continue treatment. He has a minor change to one liver marker. No treatment needed at this time.
