About 3438 - Cassidy
✨Special home needed for a special boy✨
🐾💙MEET CASSIDY💙🐾
Hi there, my name is Cassidy. My foster mum describes me as a “gentle giant” because I’m quite a big boy, but I’m very much a sook and can be quite shy with new people - I love head scratches, especially behind my ears.
I came into the care of the Angels quite recently after finding myself homeless and scared in the pound. I’ve been moved around a bit lately, so you see, I’d really like to find a stable home to live out the last of my years in happiness, somewhere that is “forever”.
Not long after the Angels saved me, I was diagnosed with leukaemia. Feline leukaemia is only contagious to other cats though, so my foster mum has promised me I get to find a forever home of my own with a lovely family where I’ll be the only cat - she said I might even get a dog friend too! How cool is that? I don’t know how I will like living with a dog yet because I haven’t met one in care, but I have such a gentle nature my foster mum is pretty confident that with slow introductions I’ll love having one as company.
I’m not a fussy eater, I’m clean with my litter tray, and I promise I will be on my best behaviour if you let me call your home my forever home. I would even be happy to put up with the small humans you guys call kids!
My foster mum has said if ANY cat deserves a chance at the good life, it’s me, because she doesn’t know how the first eight years of my life have played out but she wants to make sure the last few years of my life are the happiest I’ve ever had!

3438 - Cassidy
Gender: Male
DOB: 24/07/2012
Breed: Domestic Medium Hair
Colour: Tabby Seal Point
Adoption Fee: $50
*Cassidy’s adoption fee includes vet check, sterilisation, vaccination, microchip, flea and worm treatment
Medical Notes: Cassidy has Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). FelV is a retrovirus that infects cats. FeLV transmission most commonly occurs through close, social contact. Contact with saliva from infected cats is a primary mode of transmission, because the concentration of virus is high in saliva. FeLV means that the cat’s immune system is compromised and the cat is more susceptible to other infections.
Due to his FelV Cassidy will need to be an inside only cat. He can only go to a home with no other cats, or with a cat that is already FelV positive.
🐾 Perth Rescue Angels recommends Advantage, Advocate, and Drontal from Elanco Animal Health for all your new furry family members' flea and worming needs.
