About Luna ~ Lab X Border Collie (On Trial 14/07/20)
Meet the gorgeous Luna!
Affectionate, energetic and loving!
Luna is a 3-year-old Labrador x Border Collie who is one of the most amazing dogs
we have had in care! She loves going for walks in the bush, using her nose to sniff
out all things wonderful! She is active and loves to get her daily exercise and when
the sun goes down, will snooze until the sun comes up!
Intelligent is an understatement, and unfortunately Luna hasn’t had anyone who has
dedicate the time to give her mental exercise and get that gorgeous brain of hers
working. This is a highly intelligent dog and she loves to learn!
Luna is good with older children and loves to be part of the family but would also suit
a couple. She enjoys the company of other dogs so could be placed with another
dog if slow introductions are done and the other dog is dog-friendly.
We are looking for a home where Luna will be walked once or twice a day and
someone who is home part of the time. She really enjoys the company of her
humans so leaving her for hours on end whilst at work will not suit Luna. Because
she loves to run, she could suit a small acreage as long as fences were secure.
Luna must be allowed inside and she loves to sleep on lounges and beds so you
need to be ok with this. Luna was kept in the backyard for the last 3 years of her life
so she was never trained to walk nicely on lead. She will need some training in this
area. She is also just discovering the wide world so her new owners would need to
be patient with her and not put her in any busy environments at the beginning.
If you would like to adopt this gorgeous girl, please apply to adopt Luna here:

Luna is located in the Newcastle area. Luna’s adoption fee is $400 and includes her desexing, vaccination and micro chipping and she has been treated for fleas and worms.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal cheques.
