About Bruno
Hi world! My name is Bruno and I am one of the most easy-going, happy dogs my foster mum says she's ever met and can we just say she has met a lot!
I love being part of a family and sitting on the couch with you or sleeping near you if you are busy. But then it's a case of go, go go! I'm high energy so I need a good walk once a day, and if you work on my recall, I might love a good run around a dog park.
I can entertain myself chasing a big ball in the back yard, but being left home alone for several hours every day is probably not the best situation for me. I would be best suited to a home where someone is around more often than not.
I'm good with other dogs so could have a lively playmate or I would also be happy on my own if I'm part of an active family. I do love kids, but because of my energy and the fact I still jump to say hello, I need a family with older kids. Sadly for me I cannot share my home with cats or small animals like rabbit because chasing them is just too much fun! I should mention that if you have lots of possums in your area I'll most likely spend the whole night outside barking at them.
I've just turned 2 and my toilet training is pretty good but I will need a reminder and encouragement about where to go when I arrive at my new home. I could also do with a crash course in on-lead training so my walking manners improve, right now I tend to pull because where ever I need to go is so exciting. I'm super smart and easy to train if you put in the time. I'm great in the car, sleep in my bed at night, and will love you every minute of the day if you give me a chance. Do I sound like the dog for you?
**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
