On Hold
Lionel was trapped as part of the Central Coast Council Cat Management Programme being trialled along the Central Coast foreshore. When the Animal Control Officer saw Lionel in his trap, he realised that he was not a feral at all and transported him to the Animal Care Centre at Spreyton.
Lionel had a desexing tattoo, but no microchip. We advertised him and tried to find his owner, thinking that he may have been missing for some time, but no one came forward. Poor Lionel. His ears were flea bitten, his coat was matted and his paws were covered in dirt. But the second someone held their hand out to him, he pushed his head forward and started to snuggle like he was making up for lost time.
Lionel is still timid with strangers, and only comes out when he feels safe. When he does though, look out! He is after as much love and cuddles as he can get.
