About Kiwi
Kiwi (I call her Minnie as she has Minnie Mouse ears on her back) has a personality all of her own. Mornings are her exercise time and she runs around the apartment for about 5 minutes, enjoying slipping on the loose carpets. It is quite entertaining.
Recently she has taken to sitting with me no matter which room I'm in. When she hears the TV on she runs to the couch as if to say OK, Let's settle in. While watching TV she will lie with me. On and off my lap depending on her mood and how much I am scratching her head. Then when I go to bed and attempt to read, my chest is the best place to be and I am encouraged to provide more head scratching. She doesn't sleep on the bed but prefers to be on the floor next to the bed or on the bench at the end of the bed. She plays with the toy bear which is very cute.
Now the downside - she is a nipper. I was given a few firm bites and scratches in the beginning. Now that she is more comfortable the nips come with a bit of forewarning and the effort is far more moderated. She does not like to be touched on her body.
Kiwi needs a home where she be can provided a quiet environment so definitely no children or dogs. However, she may well enjoy the company of another cat but this has not been tested while in foster.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
