About Chuck
Chuck is a very timid dog who needs experienced gentle handlers. Sudden noises and movements really spook him. He is gentle and sweet but has not experienced much of the outside world. He is learning to walk on lead and doing well.
Walkers say: "Pulled initially and then walked on loose lead on way back"
He has a short coat and weighs 35kg.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE: Many people grow up with, or own a dog who has had no bad experiences in life. A dog who is confident and well rounded. However, many rescue dogs have not been as lucky in their lives.
Unfortunately, some rescue dogs have been physically abused, neglected and left traumatised. These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience in rehabilitating traumatised dogs with an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
Medical notes
He comes desexed, microchipped, heartworm-free and with C5 vaccinations.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
