Winter is a very shy girl who didn't have the confidence to be a racing dog. She is generally a very relaxed and well behaved girl inside the home but nervous in unfamiliar surroundings outdoors. Winter will require a patient, understanding owner with sighthound experience, who can guide her through the transition into a happy pet life. Her ideal home would be with a single adult or older couple with no children or noisy teenagers. She must be an indoor dog and have human company for a fair part of the day. The presence of another gentle, calm, large-breed dog (ideally another Greyhound) would help to give her the confidence she needs. Not suited to busy suburban or high traffic areas – Winter is currently only comfortable walking on lead in open parks or bushland away from unfamiliar people or noises. Winter is a sweet girl just waiting to blossom in the right home.
All our foster dogs are protected from fleas & ticks with NexGard®, kindly donated by Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health.
