About Sushi ~ Koolie x Shepherd puppy(On Trial 07/08/20)
Meet Sushi is a social and happy female 4 month old Koolie x German Shepherd puppy who is such a pleasure to have around. She adores snuggling on her foster parents lap and really gives it to her brother Saké wrestling and playing all day! She also is learning how to play tug of war with her much larger foster doggo, its quickly becoming her favourite game.
Sushi is friendly meeting adults but shy with children - she doesn’t want anything to do with kids so she is only available for adoption to a home without kids. Her new owners will need to be older than say 30 years - preferably a single or couple who have already decided their only kids will be the furry type, or a home with teens above 15 years or where the kids have already left the nest empty. Sushi is not suited to share houses or young owners .
Sushi currently lives within a very dog abundant environment with 3 big dog foster family doggos along with her brother Saké. She sleeps inside snuggled with her brother and a multitude of blankets and toys so will need to be welcome inside in her forever home. She is best suited to a home with another dog - preferably a male around 3-5 years - as a play mate, companion and doggo teacher. She is way too dog social to be an only dog - particularly if you work full time.
Sushi will grow to be a large size dog so she requires a home with long term experience with large breeds. She’s a super clever girl who is already learning to sit and trying her best to wait for her meals when asked. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Sushi needs to be welcomed inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. You will need good fencing 5-6 ft high with no small gaps, unfortunately rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire) is not suitable.
As Sushi is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information on Sushi, please contact Kate at kate.DRN@outlook.com. You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt.
Sushi's adoption fee is $650 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping. Sushi is currently up to date with all worming, fleas and tick treatments. Sushis foster home is located in Maitland, NSW (west of Newcastle).

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
