About Jock
ππ JOCK ππ
Meet the sweet, playful Jock π from our Scottish litter. He is a Mastiff X π₯°
Looking for that beautiful, brindle friend in your life? Look no further than Jock π
After a very rough start to life, Jock has found his feet in foster care π This boy certainly loves his food and its no wonder, as he needs it to continue growing big and strong!! ππ
Speaking of feet, poor Jock just couldnt catch a break from his past and recently developed whats called "knuckling over". Thankfully we recognised and caught it in time that he is already improved so much within a week! Knuckling over is not a condition that will continue to affect him, as he gets older he is at a higher risk of developing early onset arthritis. But he can continue to be supported and hopefully prevent it by diet, joint supplements and appropriate exercise for age. You can read more here about Knuckling over: https://www.balanced-canine.com/post/carpal-laxity-syndrome-aka-knuckling-over-in-puppies
Now back to about Jock:
Jock is quite adventurous. While heβs keen to be near you, he also loves to investigate and play π A leaf, twig or piece of rope is enough to keep this boy entertained. Tug of war seems to be a favourite πΎ
Jock has the big personality! This little guy (who will grow big!) loves to play with his brother, small humans, kittens and the big dogs (if they'll let him π)! He will play with anyone willing π
When he's not running amuck around the garden, heβs wanting to cuddle on your lap or on a comfy soft bed π΄ He is quite the smoochy boy and would love to be on your lap the most π₯° just no one tell him he will eventually outgrow your lap π€£
Jock has already learnt "sit", and is crate trained and getting better with his toileting. He usually holds all night long, but sometimes has an accident but always does it on the puppy pad β he is so very clever and very keen to learn and impress π
He would be the perfect fit for any family with another dog he can play and snuggle with! Due to his start to life and being pulled from mum so early, he needs to be homed with another dog to learn confidence, manners and "how to dog" πΎ
If you would like to meet Jock, please message for an application π
Medical notes
Will be desexed at 6 months of age by our affiliated vet.
Has "knuckling over", at risk of early onset arthritis (read more in his profile).
Must be only fed a balanced raw diet, kibble upsets his belly and the rae diet is the best food to continue supporting his joints during growth.
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
3. The animal MUST NOT be taken on the day unless PRIOR APPROVAL seeked, we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
4. 14 day settling in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster carer.
5. Adoption is finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
6. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until date of adoption. Inclusive of vaccinations, monthly worming and flea treatment. New owners are responsible for keeping preventatives current.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your email within 72 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: WE CAN NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW
