About Sunshine
Hey There, Fluffy Bunny Looker!! My name is Sunshine. I am currently fostered with a friend called Rainbow.
We are a happy-go-lucky, dynamic duo & would be thrilled to be adopted together or separately. We make quite a mess together & sometimes, I like to nick Rainbow's food & rough house a little! I'm bigger than her so .... I'm like a Mamma to her & I need to keep my kid in line!
I am the tan & white one with gorgeous lop floppy ears. I like human companionship, but I also like quality ""me time""! When I am out in the secure garden, I often bound away to a nice, cosy space by myself to chillax. This social distancing business is suiting me better than I thought it would!
Bunnies do not generally like to be picked up & cuddled but we have been socialised all our lives & we are okay with being held - we are gentle & don't scratch or startle easily.
We both used to be litter trained so my current foster carer is working on us being good at this again. Our human foster Mummy is guiding us into a great routine & she even places a blanket over our cage at night so that we know it's time to sleep & get our rest. We don't make much noise at night & EVERYONE is happy to get a great night's sleep.
We are LOVING having grass at our new foster home - we bound around the grass doing a bit of lawn maintenance. We are not fans of the sun, preferring to lounge in the shade. This is a bunny thing - but we do find the Pilbara climate quite intense!
We are both inquisitive as we twitch our little noses looking for fun! As you can see in my profile photo, I am stuffing my face!! I LOVE food & will be your instant best friend for some lovely green spinach leaves. My fur is so soft to stroke & I am not opposed to being a lap bunny now & then. We are currently fostered with an 8 year old girl & she is SUPER excited to be looking after us. She's nice. I do like to sit in her lap - she's quite, kind & gentle. I love that.
Want to know how to keep a bunny happy? We rabbits need a calm, stress free environment, so suit adult owners or gentle children. We like to spend most of our time with our loved ones, with just a bit of outside time if it's good weather. We don't cope well with heat, so when it's hot, keep us inside with the air conditioner on, please.
A healthy rabbit diet includes good quality hay, vegetables, leafy greens, fruit, seeds, roots and herbs.

We don't cope well with heat, so when it's hot, keep me inside with the air conditioner on. A healthy rabbit diet includes good quality hay, vegetables, leafy greens, fruit, seeds, roots and herbs. I'll love it if you build playground tunnels with different levels to jump on, hide away and dig in, especially if you change it around from time to time. Sticks and bark are great to chew on. It's important for me to have at least four hours a day to roam freely around the house or bunny secured yard.
I CAN FLY TO PERTH!
Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to you in Perth.
