About Nola
Psst, over here, I'm Nola and I have to be honest, I'm a bit of a fraidy cat (but I prefer the term 'sensitive soul').
My best friend Amelia and I had a really rough start to life which has left us wary of strangers. But with the help of the RSPCA we are doing much better and are now ready to find a forever home. I should mention that Amelia and I MUST find a home together as we are the best of friends and just love each other so much! We sleep together (the wardrobe is our favourite place to nap) and we head bunt each other... our version of a 'high five'. To be honest, we're far too cute to be separated!
I'm the less confident of the two of us and may take longer to get to know you. It might take a little while before I'm ready for pats and I don't really enjoy being picked up too much. But if you take it nice and slow, you can win me over with tasty treats and lots of fun play time.
I do really love to play and I'm so considerate, I usually let Amelia have her go first (just don't forget to give me a turn too once she's had some fun). I prefer my dragonfly toy and sometimes like to chase balls around. I'm also a bit clever and have worked out how to get yummy food out of some of those tricky food toys.
Speaking of food, Amelia and I do have a little bad habit of eating some things our foster mum says are not food... so we have trained her into a good routine of regular small meals and lots of play time so that we don't get bored or hungry and go looking for a naughty snack. It's also best not to tempt us by leaving out things we find irresistibly tasty (our foster mum says we help her be more tidy... we're so helpful!).
Because of this, and our timid personalities, our purrfect home will be with a mature family that's calm, quiet and relaxed (no little kiddies or doggies please... they're just too noisy and they leave tasty things lying around that you might not want us to eat). Have your kids all grown up and moved out? Looking for some fur-kids to keep you company and give you unconditional love? Then we want to meet you!
An INDOOR lifestyle is also what we seek. The outside world would be far too overwhelming and dangerous for us. Besides, indoors has food and comfy places to cat-nap! We cope better in a smaller environment, so we would need to get comfortable in a small launch room before being let out to explore the rest of your home (large spaces would be too overwhelming for us at first).
We will take some time to settle in, but I promise it will happen, and when it does your patience will be rewarded.
**WE ARE NOT AT THE SHELTER** We are staying with my amazing foster family.
