About Moe
Moe is an active friendly boy. He loves being around people and is easy to handle. Moe is suitable around kids 12+yo as he can get jumpy and mouthy. He gets very anxious around lots of other dogs in a shelter environment. He walks well on lead providing there are no other dogs around. He is best suited with a family who have had unsocialised dogs and live in an area where he can he walked on lead without encountering many dogs.
Walkers say: "Moe used to lunge at every dog we passed by, now he pays attention to them but keeps walking with encouragement” “Pulled on lead, but not reactive to dogs. Ignored them”, “Pulled on lead a but then eased into walk. Lunged a bit at other dogs but ok with close lead hold.”, Did ok around other dogs as long as he was distracted”, “Did so well, loved his treats today, seemed more relaxed than other times. Ignored all the cars, watched big trucks go by, lunged at one dog when he barked first and ignored the huskies”, “Very nervous at start but warming up very easy. Loves belly rubs and affection. We loved him!” Loves to sniff everything. Reluctant to take treats at first but as he relaxed he would then take them. Very excited in the car. On the way back he was almost fell asleep on the back seat."
He has a smooth coat and weighs 21.6kg.
Suit Home Based Worker or Doggie Pal: Unable to cope alone and has shown signs of separation anxiety. Needs human company or other dog pals.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Good with Kids: Shown to be good with kids in the controlled environment of the Shelter.
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE: Many people grow up with, or own a dog who has had no bad experiences in life. A dog who is confident and well rounded. However, many rescue dogs have not been as lucky in their lives.
These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience in rehabilitating traumatised dogs with an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.

Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
