About Harper
I ain't nothing but a hound dog..... But oh... What a hound dog I am.
Allow me to introduce myself, I am Harper a 6 month old Coon hound X Harrier Hound who was surrendered here at BARC and am now on the hunt for a new home.
I am an absolutely beautiful girl, eager to please and happy to greet anyone with a wag of my tail.
I've heard a nasty rumour that hound breeds are actually just a nose attached to a dog and we are easily distracted by scents making us easily distracted and unfortunately that may be true also in my case.
I am suited to a family home with older children I wont knock over, I love playing with other dogs and would do great in a home with another furry friend.
I would require secure fencing and am probably not suited to a rural home with post and wire fencing where I might be tempted to follow my nose and wander off.
If you have some knowledge of hound type behaviour or are prepared for what that entails then I may be just the girl you are looking for.
Please call the people at BARC and have them arrange a time for you to meet and greet with me.
I am available for viewing and adoption 29/05/20
Ready to go to new home following De-sexing procedure

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
