About Anthea 8485 Campbelltown ACF
Hello, my nickname is Anthea. I came into the facility as a shy stray with no home to call my own. I was very nervous when I arrived, I was very untrusting and timid. My carers have spent a lot of time with me and I am beginning to become more trusting of humans, but I will require an owner who is willing to continue with my confidence building in my new home. I can become scared of sudden movement, loud noises, and hands moving towards me too quickly, especially if they are going over my head, so my carers have suggested that I am rehomed with no small children. Once I am comfortable with you I do settle well and become very affectionate and will purr when you pat me. I can find being patted intensely overstimulating and may nip at you to ask you to stop touching me until I am ready. It is important that I am rehomed with someone who understands my behaviour and will not give up on me as as it can take a while to gain my trust. My ideal owner will have experience with rescue cats and be ready to commit to having me in their life. Do you think you could be the second chance I need? Come check me out. My adoption fee has been reduced to encourage my adoption.
Please note due to COVID-19 you must contact the Facility on 4645 4790 to make an appointment for a meet and greet. Restrictions and social distancing protocols will apply at all times.

Adoption payment can only be made in person at the Animal Care Facility. We do not do adoptions or payments over the phone and require all potential adopters to complete a meet and greet with the animal prior to adopting. For dog adoptions, if a dog is to be housed with another dog after adoption a meet and greet between the two dogs must be conducted to ensure they are a suitable match.
When you have selected a pet and finalised the adoption payment, dogs and cats are booked into Council's contracted vet for the animal to be desexed typically the next business day. We will transport your new pet to our vet for desexing in the morning. The new owner is to collect the animal from the vets in the afternoon.
Please note that this adoption profile may not be the most up-to-date information available, due to the constant movement of animals into and out of the facility.
