About Ralph
Ralph is soooo handsome, and very sweet...he'll knock your socks off!
This lovely brindle boy is very friendly and social, and will greet every person he meets with a happy wag, and when he's out and about, he's quite sure everyone he meets would like to say hello! He has plenty of energy, and absolutely loves his walks. He can pull a bit on the lead, but soon settles in and has fairly nice manners. Meeting other dogs can be awfully exciting, and something he's working hard on.
Though we describe Ralph as energetic, he is still a greyhound, and true to his breed, he's very skilled at finding a comfortable spot at home and settling in for a cozy nap. He's getting more relaxed each day as he settles into pet life with his foster family in their inner west apartment. He loves a cuddle on the couch, but will also happily chill out on his bed...until it's time for another walk of course!
Though Ralph is being a very good boy in an apartment, we think he would really enjoy having access to a garden, and that life as a solo pet would be very nice...no sharing pats (and no cats!) for this boy, thank you very much. At home, Ralph is calm and affectionate, but as he's still working on his manners whilst out and about, a new family that has no children below 12 years, and some experience with big dogs (with greyhounds would be even better!) and is willing to keep working with him would be best.
If you think Ralph would be a great fit with you, we want to hear from you!
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. When responding to this post, please tell us:
• A bit about yourself, including your work patterns and the number of hours the dog will be left alone each day
• About the people and pets you share your life with.
• The type and size of your residence / yard (is it securely fenced?)
• Anything else you think will help us find the perfect dog for you
